Jennifer Long

To make sense of what was unfolding, in March 2020 I began photographing details from my Toronto pandemic experience.  As time bent and compressed in unfamiliar ways, documenting this period of anxiety, boredom, and repetition allowed me to make space for myself and reflect on mothering in the time of COVID-19.

The resulting collection of imagery is ambiguous, ordinary and fleeting, moments in my life are where nothing (and everything) occurred.

This body of work is being produced with support from Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council.
